The financial aid process is continually evolving, and needs to be attended to for anyone seeking to make college more financially affordable.


What is financial aid?  Financial aid helps students and their families pay for college. This financial assistance covers educational expenses including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation. There are several types of financial aid, including grants and scholarships, work study and loans.

What is the FAFSA?  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (known as theFAFSA) is a form that can be prepared annually by current and prospective college students (undergraduate and graduate) in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid.







Federal Student AidFederal Student Aid, a part of the U.S. Department of Education, is the largest provider of student financial aid in the nation. Federal Student Aid is responsible for managing the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.  These programs provide grants, loans, and work-study funds to students attending college or career school.
